Stir The Embers
Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without.

Thunderstorms sparked a few fires in the wilderness areas over the
past week or so. Most of those that remain, are small and contained, but
one that started in MT Lassen National Park didn’t behave as expected
and has grown to 24,000 acres.
The thick smoke that is carried on the wind, encircles our little town of Redding, and painted the Tuesday evening sun, red.
Recent
high temperatures have added to the spread of the fire. It is expected
that tomorrow's temperature will cool down to 109. Maybe that will help.
Fast Blooming Flowers
The heat
has got me taking pictures at an accelerated pace so I can keep up with
the newly appearing - quickly wilting, blooms, before they become just a
few old petals sprinkled on the ground.
All this busy activity can work up an appetite. Here is a little animated image of my dessert tonight;
John Harrison
and I have been writing some new songs that are satisfyingly fun to
sing and play. We have tried a couple of the new ideas at the local
blues jams with good response from the crowd.
When we record some of the new stuff, I will be sure to post it here so you can hear it.
Also,
Johns new violin now has a spectacular red finish. I saw it today at
the shop. I’ll see about getting a good picture of it tomorrow.
Today’s Video;
Cool
